Biological records of wintering farmland birds collected during the ACE EIP Winter Farmland Bird Survey 2025/2026. Records include species identity, number of birds observed, survey distance band, BTO species code and geographic coordinates.

To establish baseline information on the distribution, abundance and spatial occurrence of wintering farmland birds within the ACE EIP project area and support ecological monitoring and evaluation of project measures.
Standardised field-based winter farmland bird surveys were undertaken along predefined survey transects. Observers recorded bird observations while walking the transects using ArcGIS Survey123. Records include species, number of birds and distance band.
ACE EIP target agricultural areas in coastal parts of Counties Cork, Waterford and Wexford, Ireland.
2025 - 2026
Records were checked for missing and invalid coordinates. Species names were standardised from BTO codes and Survey123 entries. Original survey dates from the date_and_t field were retained. Records that could not be confidently identified to species level were retained separately for manual review.
