A Dataset of cetacean strandings, managed by IWDG.

To collect information on the frequency and species composition of cetacean strandings around the Irish coast to improve our understanding of cetacean in Irish waters.
Reports of cetacean from members, researchers and general public, mostly submitted through the IWDG on-line reporting form.
The Irish coast.
1753-2020
All of the data were collected to a standard format, and all sightings are validated.
The Dataset is complete for years 1753-2015.
