Dataset Details - IWDG Constant Effort Cetacean Sighting Scheme
A Dataset of cetacean sightings from the Constant Effort Sighting Scheme operated by IWDG.
To collect information on the frequency and species composition of sighting around the Irish coast to improve our understanding of cetacean movements.
Sightings are made as part of a standardised scheme of timed monthly visits to headlands around the Irish coast.

All of the data were collected to a standard format, and all sightings are validated.
The Dataset is complete for years 2010-2020.
