Dataset Details - An Atlas of Breeding Birds of the Burren and Aran Islands 1993 - 1996
Results of a survey of the breeding birds presented on a tetrad (2km X 2km) grid basis.

To produce distribution maps, on a 2km x 2km grid, of all birds seen in the region during the breeding season between 1993 & 1996.
Each tetrad within the area was visited at least once and any birds seen were recorded, and indication of breeding category noted. Up to 50 fieldworks submitted records to the Atlas organiser.
The Burren region of north Clare and the Aran Island of County Galway
The breeding season from 1 April to 31 July in 1993, 1994, 1995 & 1996.
