British Mycological Society
The British Mycological Society (BMS) was founded in 1896 and has some 1400 members from many countries around the world, reflecting its international status. Its sole objective is to promote mycology in all its aspects. This is achieved by: Meetings and Symposia with international programmes, including a Young Mycologists' Meeting and the Berkeley Award Lecture; Journals and other publications, including Mycological Research, Field Mycology, Fungal Biology Reviews, all published by Elsevier, and a quarterly Newsletter called Mycologist NEWS; Forays and workshops for field mycologists.
