The data would have been checked by staff of the Biological Records Centre (An Foras Forbartha) when received from recorders.
Records from Michael O'Meara and Ken Bond were removed from the dataset, as their records are already available as separate surveys on the system.
The records were published as Ní Lamhna, E. (1980) Distribution atlas of butterflies in Ireland. Irish Biological Records Centre, Dublin.
