To maintain data on sightings of mammals made by the general and to make these data available for research, to inform decision-making and for other conservation-related purposes.
Mostly collation of casual sightings of wild and feral mammals submitted directly to the National Biodiversity Data Centre.
The island of Ireland.
From January 2016. Older sightings are contained in the Atlas of Mammals in Ireland 2010-2015 dataset.
All data have undergone validation.
Dataset is incomplete as it forms part of an ongoing survey.
