Data provided is derrived from mostly bottom samples provided during a diving survey of the area in April 2021. Other records are from river samples provided in May 2021. Provided by ecologist Anne Marie Mahon on behalf on the Potrunny Development Association

In fulfillment of the creation of a community biodiversity plan for Portrunny bay funded by the Community Foundation of Ireland.
Sample jars were used to collect benthos samples.
Portrunny Bay and the lower reaches of the River Hind.

Where uncertaintly of identification existed identification were only taken to species level and in one case of a freshwater sponge found only to phylum.
