Streamstown Community Biodiversity Survey 2020
With funding support from the Community Foundation for Ireland Streamstown Tidy Village and support from ecologist Nuala Madigan Streamstown Tidy Village worked on developing a Community Biodiversity Action Plan. To better understanding the biodiversity present in Streamstown a biodiversity survey was undertaken in July 2020

Casual visual observations recorded during survey days
Streamstown Village is located in Co. Westmeath the community decided to focus on five key biodiversity areas they were managing: The Old Railway Station (53.434521, -7.573230), a Community Biodiversity Learning Zone by the local National School (53.430144, -7.558918), Black Corner (53.435461, -7.580666), Old Horses Drinking Area (53.441554, -7.572999) and Rockfield River Biodiversity Area (53.432969, -7.555249) for this study

Nuala Madigan is an experienced ecologist with the Irish Peatland Conservation Council and was supported in completing this species list by her colleagues and Streamstown Tidy Village representatives.
