Survey Details - Crassostrea gigas survey 2009
Crassostrea gigas survey 2009
The dataset contains coordinates of Crassostrea gigas presences (18 locations), densities are given for locations where densities > 0.1 individuals/m2 occurred
2009
2009
National survey to establish status and distribution of Pacific oysters (Crassostrea gigas) in Ireland, funded mainly by IRCSET and IRCHSS, in association with the SIMBIOSYS project (2007-B-CD-1-S1), collaborative project with involvement of UCD, Marine Institute, BIM, Loughs Agency
1: timed-searches, SACFOR scale (semi-quantitative measure) and 2: transects (2 transects of 1m x 30m on rocky shores, 2 transects with 17 random quadrats of 1m2 on mussel beds)
Throughout the Republic of Ireland (and Lough Foyle, Northern Ireland)
All oysters collected as part of this dataset were verified by Judith Kochmann
