Marine Mammal and Marine Megafauna records from line transect surveys conducted on ro-ro ferries from Ireland and Northern Ireland to Britain and France.

Collected as part of the IWDG Ferry Surveys monitoring Programme.
Line transect survey.
Irish Sea, Celtic Sea, English Channel.
2001 to 2015.
All sightings verified by experienced survey team leaders during the survey and by the IWDG Ship Surveys Officer (Dave Wall) during data entry. All data points visually checked using GIS to remove errant points and to check all sightings locations concurred with survey tracks.
Dataset is part of continuous ongoing data collection by the IWDG Ferry Surveys Programme.
