This dataset contains data collected for a variety of purposes through the activities of IFI and the Regional Fisheries Boards. All information was collated by the IFI.
Various survey methods including fyke nets, gill nets and seine nets.
The majority of records are from the Republic of Ireland with a small number of records from N. Ireland.
1951-2008
All data is validated by IFI.
This dataset is will be updated with new records.
The dataset is accompanied by a website on freshwater fish in Irish lakes found at http://fish.biodiversityireland.ie
