A collated dataset of sightings of all wild and feral mammal species occurring in Ireland and its offshore waters.

To collect data on the distribution of mammals in Ireland over the period 2010 to 2015 to provide a benchmark on the spatial distribution against which future change can be tracked.

The principal method of data capture is through submission of records through the Centre's on-line records submission form. Data is also being incorporated from different sources and digitised and added to dataset.

Principally concerned with generating new data from 2010 to 2015, but any old records will also be included to expand the database.

All data is validated by national experts, according to different standards set for each species or groups of species.

Records may be used for conservation, education and non-commercial public purposes. Use of the data must be accompanied by citing the source of the data and the data provider.
